Platform Disclosure
This program offers optional access to the VerifyWise AI governance platform as a supplemental hands-on learning tool.
Use of VerifyWise is not required to complete the program or earn your certificate.
If you choose to participate, Proceptual will share your name and email address with VerifyWise so they can set up your account. VerifyWise will use this information only to set up and maintain your account.
Third-Party Platform
VerifyWise is an independent third-party company. It is not owned, operated, or controlled by Proceptual Inc. or Michigan State University.
While Proceptual has entered into a partnership agreement with VerifyWise that includes data privacy and security commitments, Proceptual and Michigan State University are not responsible for the operation, availability, or performance of the VerifyWise platform.
Privacy Protections
VerifyWise is designated as a school official under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This means your data on the VerifyWise platform is subject to the same privacy protections that apply to your education records.
- VerifyWise may use your information only to provide platform access for this program
- VerifyWise will not share your information with any third party unless required by law
- VerifyWise will not send you marketing, promotional, or upsell communications of any kind
Access Terms
Your access to the VerifyWise platform begins when you activate your account and lasts for one year. After your access expires, VerifyWise will retain your data for at least 30 days before deletion. You are responsible for exporting any work product you wish to keep before your access expires or during the 30-day retention period.
Your Data
You own all data, content, and work product you create on the VerifyWise platform. This includes governance policies, risk assessments, compliance artifacts, and any other materials you produce as part of your coursework.
